So here goes

The Rules: “Each person posts the rules before their list, then they list 8 things about themselves. At the end of the post, that person tags and links to other people and then visits those peoples’ sites and comments letting them know that they have been tagged, and to come read the post, so they know what they have to do.”

1. Physically, I’m not in the best shape that I have ever been in , but I am finally comfortable with it. It’s me, it’s who I am!.

2. Mentally, I am probably a bit unstable. Well, fickle anyway. I’m a consummate Libra: Always going back and forth between extremes trying to balance it all out.
3. Emotionally,I’m back to the Libra thing again. I don’t like confrontation, but it’s my nature to seek out gossip and immerse myself in it. I can be laid back about things that would tick the average person off, and become overly angry about something as minute as a speck of sand in my shoe.
4. Spiritually, I’m still “searching”. I read a lot of books regarding religion and spirituality, and am coming closer to finding what rings true for me. It won’t be anything over the top, but it won’t be mainstream either.
5. Philosophically, I think that we are all here for a reason, and its up to us as individuals to divine that reason and act on it, you may or may not get a second chance to do it.
6. Politically, I’m liberal as all get out. Pretty much, I don’t care what or who or how you do it, as long as it doesn’t affect me. You’re gay and want to get married? Sure go ahead! You want to stand outside an abortion clinic and protest for the “pro-life cause”…go right ahead. It’s call free speech, and I love it.

7. Recreationally, eh..not so much. I like the outdoors, when I can see it thru a window of an air conditioned room. 🙂 I love swimming, and water sports though.

8. Food-wise…I’ll try pretty much anything once, and most of it I enjoy. I’ve never met an Asian dish that I didn’t like, and rice is a must have!

Now to tag a few folks;

  1. Great answers! Thanks for playing.

(ya know, you didn’t *have* to follow my ‘themed’ answers, but I’m kinda glad that you did – it gives a little insight into alot of different areas, dont’cha think?!)

Maybe *I* was supposed to be a Libra – I have that same emotional trait (I doubt that, tho..I play the stubborn, opinionated Bull all too well!!LoL)

Curious…do you consider yourself (politically) fiscally liberal as well??

I’m beginning to think that if I didn’t find Mr. Jeff so dang exasperating in his rhetorical dogma, I might start referring to myself as a Libertarian!! LoL…

  3. Mo—

I don’t know what I would consider myself exactly. I was doing some reading online and found this that mostly represents what I think

    “New Generation Democrats”:
Socially and fiscally liberal. According to the description in the article, apparently they differ from the “Determined Liberals” in being much less favorable toward welfare programs than liberals, even more tolerant of homosexuality, and the least religious group within either party.] “[T]he majority say smoking marijuana is acceptable”.

All of which I agree with. I don’t think Welfare is that great of a program. I am of the whole “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach him to fish, Feed him for a lifetime” school of thought. Our welfare system needs to be revamped with stricter guidelines and definite cut off dates. If you are on it for more than 6 months, there is a larger underlying issue that needs to be dealt with, and handing you money every month isn’t going to solve it. Homosexuality—So what? It’s not a choice (regardless of what some might say). If I am not going to discriminate against someone with blue eyes over someone with green eyes, why the hell would I discriminate against someone who falls in love with/is attracted to someone of the same sex? It just doesn’t make sense to me, and never has. I feel the same about religion, I don’t care what you believe or even if you believe, just leave it out of my government, my schools and my face. Marijuana—ehh. Doesn’t bother me, it’s not as bad as some other the other stuff you could be smoking.

“More than any group in America, they like big government: Nearly two in three want a bigger federal government with more services” (eg managed care; preventing teenage smoking).

I don’t necessarily want a “bigger government” per se, rather I want the one we have to do what it is supposed to do. It should be taking care of our citizens, and providing the best quality of life that it can to those living in this country, and not constantly “protecting those that can’t protect themselves” overseas. I support the military troops, and I think they need more money and more government support in order to bring their lives up to a normal standard of living. Most military members are living below the national poverty line, yet they are out there every day laying their lives on the line? Is low pay, substandard housing and poor quality of life how we should repay them? I don’t think so. I also think that healthcare should be free or very nearly for all citizens, and that it should be of the highest quality. I’ve seen too many people suffer with illness and mental issues because they can’t afford insurance or don’t qualify for Medicaid.

So, in short (or long?) I don’t know what I am. Maybe you can tell me.
